We concluded that pre-announcing there will be a POAP for attending an online event is against the POAP Quality Guidelines since it attracts farmers –people that are only after free NFTs and don’t really care about a project or community.

This thread was not announcing the POAP that I wanted to give out. The one that I wanted to give out was for the 200 subscribers that had signed up PRE ANNOUNCEMENT. I had planned on giving out another POAP in the future to subs when I send the email that describes how to make them, but now that I know the updated rules, I will not.

In the future, I will be sure to not announce any POAPs beforehand.

What should I do now? Is this request officially denied? or can i still get approval and links?

No not officially reviewed negatively.
Thank you for understanding and for adding context.
Those types of Twitter posts can be perceived as engagement farming as well.
Being a responsible issuer requires a working knowledge and care for POAP and the directing energy and resources toward the preservation of the Protocol.

How are you going to determine the first 200 people?
by the email sign up?
Do you already have 200 people?
Has the POAP Creation podcast already happened?

@julie Yes I do already have the 200 people subscribed to the podcast and can filter my list to see who the first 200 are (since i have more than that now). They subscribed before I had ever mentioned POAPs and I wanted to reward them and celebrate the milestone.

It is done via email sign up and I can send certain emails to specific people, which I would do in this case using the unique links.

The podcast has been created, but has not gone live yet. I am waiting for the POAP links so that I can push the podcast live and invite my first 200 subscribers to listen to it and claim their POAP around the educational podcast post. It not only celebrates the community of the first 200 people, but also is in line with a podcast event that I am sharing with them.
