POAP recently launched POAP Checkout, a tool to sell POAPs and fund projects and causes.

I haven’t read the blog but I think it’s a good start. Before that, guild was used to sell poap. But with the introduction of poap checkout, the work has become easier.

Yes, the idea is to make it easier for both issuers and collectors to buy and sell POAPs.
Which projects/creators do you think will benefit from Checkout?
Except for the cases mentioned in the blog post (i.e., communities, charities and creators), assuming the mass adoption of the cryptocurrencies, the POAPs with checkout can be used for IRL events, such as museums, sport stadiums, concerts, cinemas and almost everywhere the entrance tickets are needed. The attendees in such cases can pay for the POAPs as a small fraction of the payments for the event entrance tickets. POAPs can be substituted as entrance tickets for such IRL events as well (assuming the mass adoption of the cryptocurrency.)
For the time being, i.e., before the mass adoption of the cryptocurrency, the POAPs can be used as marketing tools for the above-mentioned IRL events to onboard the huge number of users to cryptocurrency as well. Since most of the attendees may not have an ETH wallet in such cases, and the current POAP checkout needs interaction with the wallet, it is good to accept fiat payments in the POAP checkout as well. For this case, a field in the POAP checkout can be implemented via which the user can provide their email address and the POAP link after the check out can be sent to the user’s email along with an introduction to install a cryptocurrency wallet. I think it is a great way for both the mass adoption of the POAP and the cryptocurrency in general.

Yes, I used it to purchase the entrance POAP for the POAP art new color palette. It was easy to use.
Where can we improve?
People who do charity work can use this feature, artists can distribute poap for their loyal fans, in short it is one of the good ways to prevent farmers.
I haven’t used this feature yet, but have gotten artblock’s anniversary poap with the tip.

There have been already many great examples:

– Raising funds after the earthquake in Turkey
– POAP checkout used for podcast listeners by mentor.eth

I’ve used the tool to purchase POAPs/support causes a few times without any issue
Where can we improve?
– One thing I’d like to see is the possibility to pay on Polygon (and maybe Gnosis Chain too). Depending on market conditions the gas fee can be higher than the amount sent.

·Projects and creators with real ideas and execution capabilities, and their real purpose is out of emotion rather than profit, to speak out for some groups, or to contribute to a certain public welfare cause, can arouse everyone’s resonance, I hope The POAP you own has a special and extraordinary meaning, and it carries value, not price.
·I have used this tool many times and the experience is very good.
·It is hoped that there will be an independent official website, where participants can browse all ongoing events, show participation channels, and be able to choose their favorite projects more personally and give support.
it is a great opportunity for small projects that have a good team but do not have the necessary funds to advance the project, and a good use for charity projects that receive help for a specific cause or crisis.

Diversify the payment methods so that they can be provided with the lowest fees.
My suggestion is to use https://li.fi/ service to get any kind of help on any blockchain

A new option is to get POAP.
I think it is used for projects and platforms that have few meetings. To get money for each weekly session, it makes the project’s community unhappy. But if this happens once or twice in several months, perhaps the dissatisfaction of members of the community may be less.

Certainly if the number of use is low and projects get less money to provide POAP I will be happier.

It is best to pay payments on a network that gets less fee.

I think this new option is used for projects and platforms that have few meetings. I think participants can pay for POAPs as a small part of the event entrance ticket payments.
Although getting paid for every weekly meeting makes the project community unhappy.
But if this happens once or twice a month, maybe the dissatisfaction of the people in the society will be reduced and the use of Poap will increase.

This tool will be useful in these cases: charity and public assistance, fundraising, donation and financial participation, online tickets (using poap as an entry to an event), selling digital artworks and etc.

Support other L2 networks (polygon, optimism, …) and gnosis to pay.
in short it’s a good way to avoid farmers. Provided that the money of the real users will be returned to their wallets after conducting quiz or … ( Like Zarion POAP project )
