There’s nothing on the home page for non-issuer newbies. You can read about how POAP works, but nothing on how to get started. The POAP ecosystem should be integrated or at least accessible on the site’s home page and on the app.
More about the ecosystem:
I feel like poap.directory should be reorganized so that POAP focused apps (POAP Place, Custom Pogs, POAP.in, etc.) are separated from POAP affiliated apps (Daylight.xyz, ENS, Coinbase Wallet, etc.). Currently they don’t seem to be organized in any way, besides the new apps/protocols being listed first.
Lastly, I understand why having an “Active POAP Events” section could be a bad idea (POAP/airdrop farming, spammy vibes like many Galxe projects), but it could be a great way for new users to get their first POAP if done correctly.
Please let me know your thoughts through comment or DM.
Thank you for the reply and sorry for the late follow-up.
Not sure if I was blind before or if the home page was recently updated, but now I see a Directory link under “Builders” Anyways, if the POAP home page is intended for builders and businesses and not for new users, then this would make more sense. Otherwise, I think it would make more sense for the ‘Directory’ link to be immediately visible upon visiting the home page.
Cool! Thanks for sharing this link. I think this content should also be accessible from the home page and app, as well as other POAP pages like app.poap.xyz/scan.
Also, neither of these pages are included on the Directory page and don’t have a way to get back to the home page.
To summarize, there are so many cool POAP pages and projects, but there’s so much fragmentation between them that it makes discovering many of them difficult or impossible. I’d really like to see POAP flourish but I’m worried this may hurt the adoption of new users.
THANK YOU again for your time; we appreciate this valuable feedback. I’ve already shared it with the Product team, we’ll be working to make improvements.
