Event ID: #28748 | Drop Date 2/18/2022

GM!

We are using the drop for a live event at Illfest on 2/18 - 2/19 in Austin, TX. Our project team will be at the event doing a mural and giveaways for attendees. We will be letting attendees scan the QR code and claim at the POAP website.

At the moment, we are unable to update the event to Private Drop and edit the POAP Website Link.
We also intend to request 1000 codes. We didn’t select Private Drop and 40 codes were given out to non-attendees.

Please advise!

I’m sorry that your POAPs got farmed :pensive:

Website is not a good option for events with large attendance, those where attendees may leak the URL, or those with high data integrity standards due to the possibility of future utility. Keep in mind that you have a limited number of POAPs to be claimed via a URL and if the link is leaked the actual attendees may not receive their POAPs.

I recommend to re-check the distribution methods for future events: POAP Distribution Methods 101 | POAP Help Center

For the event that is currently happening, you could use POAP.Delivery (please contact our Customer Support team for advise on how to set it).

Thanks,
The POAP Curation Body

Glad it was only 40 POAPs. We just made the event private so it would not show up on the POAP list. We also updated the POAP website URL so hopefully, those who farmed them won’t know the new URL.

We will also be using our own QR code at the event for the POAP website tomorrow.

We just requested 1000 codes in addition to our current 50 codes, not sure how the approval process works?

We submitted another request for more codes for our Private Drop under a new website URL for the live event. Is there anything we need to do on our end at the moment?

We can always start with a few hundred depending on engagement from the crowd? But just didn’t want to be on the forum during the event if possible.

Thanks for your help ser

Hey @honger

We’re happy to check on the status of your drop petition. The Curation Body review system relies primarily on manual revision and it is typically completed within 24 hours— although it may take longer in some contentious cases.

Have you checked POAP.Delivery?

Thanks,
The POAP Curation Body

Hey @Fio

What is to check on POAP.delivery?

The event is starting today in an hour and hopefully we provided everything your team needs to grant us 1000 codes. Any specific criteria they look for?

Hey, @honger
We are still talking about this event 28748 right ?
Could you change the website name to something totally random ?
Like askfmlawimfil25125makw2 ?
It won’t affect the user experience at all, but this way nobody can guess your website name.

Yeah for sure! We just updated the URL! Appreciate your help @HeuRea

Enjoy your event!

Hey @honger,
Yeah, no problem
Just request a top up when you need. As your event is a multiday event, i would highly recommend disabling your website when it’s not needed and use a different website name for the next day.

@Fio @HeuRea thank you ! We had great traction from yesterday and we are hoping to request for 500 more for today’s event if possible? I will update the website name as well

Hey @honger!
We’re glad you had a great traction!

We’re happy to check on the status of your new petition. We’re taking a look now and will get back to you as soon as possible — we appreciate your patience

Hey @honger
I’m sorry but Curators made a negative review of your petition

We’re looking forward to seeing more drop petitions for your community in the future! Just make sure you look at the POAP Quality Guidelines and choosing the right distribution method.

Best,
The POAP Curation Body
