  1. Nature of the event
What are you celebrating, and why is it important?

During 6 weeks, zkLend Quests allowed users to perform various tasks related to zkLend to earn XP and win prizes. Quests ranged from simple tasks like following @zkLend on Twitter to more elaborate ones like creating a video or blog post entry about zkLend. Out of 8,600+, the top 400 Questers with the most XP will receive a special edition animated POAP sent to their email

Here’s a Medium post with more information on our Crew3 Quests campaign.

  1. Distribution plan
How are you planning on getting POAPs to individuals?

Once we receive the mint links we will email each one of the 400 winners their mint links individually.

  1. Why do you believe this petition is being held?
Sometimes, the information received by curators is insufficient to produce a positive review. If you have an idea about what may have flagged your submission, including it here may help

We believe it may be being held because of the number of mint links requested and the distribution method. We’ve been doing weekly drops for our AMAs, we normally request ~150 POAPs and distribute via secret word and we normally get our requests approved within 24 hours. But for this one we will distribute via email and have requested 400 mint links, it’s been 24 hours but our petition hasn’t been approved.

Looking forward to your response, and thank you in advance.

Hello @julie, wanted to ask, does the team have any update or feedback on the drop? Thanks in advance!

Hey @raul

Curators rejected your petition since it’s not aligned with the POAP ethos and guidelines.

When we say that POAP is an ecosystem for the preservation of memories, we intend for POAPs to be mementos of a particular experience. A part of the core value proposition of POAPs is that they are a souvenir your get simply for doing something you generally like to do in your life – there is no particular transactional incentive.

“Engagement farming” is generally defined as issuers using POAPs in a way that incentivizes transactional behavior. Any statement to the effect of “Do X to get a POAP” – particularly where X is an action that boosts performance in social media algorithms – is basically a marker of engagement farming.

“Like to get a POAP”
“Follow to get a POAP”
“Tweet about it to get a POAP”

these all violate Curation Body Guidelines on proper usage of POAP.

For next petitions :point_right: We highly recommend reading the guidelines, POAP is not a marketing tool but a protocol for preserving memories.

Let us know if you have any questions.

@Fio, thanks for clarifying and taking the time to give us feedback on our submission, we really appreciate it.

We totally agree with you and understand that POAP is about bookmarking memories of your life and not a transactional incentive. Apologies if our zkLend Quest event came out this way. Here’s a Medium post on why we’re bullish on POAPs and our intention to use them to bookmark memories and not as incentives:

zkLend Quests was a 6-week event we held for our community with the idea of having more people learn not only about zkLend but also about the general StarkNet ecosystem. Among the activities, users could create posters/infographics, help fellow community members on the zkLend Discord server, leave questions on topics they’d like answered from ourselves and other projects. Here’s our initial Medium post on zkLend Quests where we don’t mention POAPs as prizes:

Originally we wanted to give out POAPs to everyone who took part in the event, but once the event finished we had more than 8.6k attendees, which is why we narrowed it down to 400.

We never used POAP to incentivise users to complete X or Y tasks, we actually only mention the 400 POAPs once the zkLend Quests had ended and there was no incentive for users to perform any quests.

We hope this message clarifies more on what our intentions were when requesting the mint links for the attendees of zkLend Quests. We have been using POAPs to bookmark events for our community, which they have really grown to care about collecting.

Hey @raul

Unfortunately but we can’t approve POAP for this specific campaign. This drop is not aligned with our guidelines, so Curators have already rejected it.

For next time, please review the documentation and let us know if you have any questions.

All the best,
Fio
