The API request essentially functions by collecting the user’s public address using a form and then the address is sent to https://api.poap.tech/website/claim in order to claim the POAP.

Hello @bscottdavis

There any be some confusion surrounding the different POAP distribution methods.

So let me try to be clear - you built using POAP API and collect participants ETH wallet addresses and then send a POAP to that ETH wallet address?

Are all of these people attending in real life?

Thanks @julie ! Yes exactly! We are providing a form that collects the user’s wallet address and then we are sending the wallet address along with the claim_name to the https://api.poap.tech/website/claim endpoint to claim the POAP.

This would be similar to the process documented on Common Flows in the “Create a POAP Website” section.

Yes, the people are attending in real life in an in-person database conference. The session itself is a breakout session related to utilizing different aspects of Web3. More information about the conference can be found at: https://rx.rockrms.com/

Thanks again for your help!

@julie I’m sorry to be a bother. This event is later today and I love to see if I can get it approved if that is possible. Are there any modifications I need to make on my end to align with your approval policies?

Hello @bscottdavis

The Curators reviewed this case and have determined that you are going to have to request mint links and use the POAP KIOSK (Magic QR Code Dispenser) for the in real life conference.
This is the optimal POAP distribution solution for this specific use case.

Also since you are collecting the ETH wallet addresses, you can also apply for the Delivery method once the event is concluded.

Thanks so much for the quick response! I will use the Magic QR Code Dispenser in this circumstance.
In my use case I would love to be able to collect attendee information using a form while also collecting their wallet address. Is there a method by which I would be able to use this method of collecting information using a form and then send the request for the POAP using the API? Using the website method seemed like the best option from what I could see in the documentation, but I am open to any other methods of doing the same thing.
