Is there an update to this? All that submitted their address had to attend the event in the metaverse to submit their address! There was no way to submit it without attending it.
We didn’t release the form or the password until the event happened. You had to visit the metaverse event to get the password for the form. We also verified all the Discord names.
But can’t those farmers be removed since you already identified them? It’s completely normal to announce that you’re giving away a POAP for the event. That’s the norm for the majority of the communities. In our case everyone who submitted their address actually attended the event which makes them eligible for the POAP.
Pre-announcing the POAP is usual but it’s a bad practice.
A part of the core value proposition of POAPs is that they are a souvenir your get simply for doing something you generally like to do in your life – there is no particular transactional incentive.
It’s more of a "Thanks for coming… now here is a POAP for your time and valuable contribution"
Where an incorrect thought would be “Hey come to my event and I’ll give you a POAP”
